Salamander

Salamander is a corkscrew coaster, but a very unique one. It goes far beyond the mega loopers: 8000 feet to be exact. Salamander's highest point is on its first, that's right, first lift hill which maxes out at 267 feet. This monster can support five train operation on its 12,400 feet of track mainly because it has two lifts and two mid-course brake runs. You could say that it's a cross between The Viper (SFMM) and Magnum XL-200, except the Gs range from +5.5 to -2.5.

Here is where it all begins...

Actually, this lift is where it begins, going up 267 feet at a 45 degree angle...

This drop is nearly vertical on the way down, and speeds the train up to 83 MPH...

The loop has a vertical ascent which finally crests over at the 189 foot mark pulling 5 Gs...

The dive loop has a fantastic vertical descent...
